Have you ever walked into your bathroom and seen mold on your floor or walls? You know that isn’t a good sign. The same thing goes for your ceiling. I know most people don’t walk around their home looking up at the ceiling but you might want to check every now and then. Mold or discoloration happens on your ceiling when water leaks in the attic.
If you see this call a roofer! You probably need your roof repaired or maybe even replaced.
Importance of Inspection
It is important to call a roofing company as soon as you see this problem. Mold on the ceiling is caused by condensation that starts to accumulate in the attic. After damage occurs on the roof water can leak through tiny holes on the roof and get into the wood, installation or even those Christmas decorations that we keep in the attic.
When your roofing technician arrives they can detect where the leak is really coming from, and address the source. Problem is, it can be tough getting moisture out from spaces where it’s already invaded. Damp areas, common in attics and behind walls, are breeding grounds for mold. First, you’ll have to repair the leak, then you will have to tackle the mold removal.
